SDSU Registration
For TPHS & CCA Math Classes
The information on this web page
is only for students at Torrey Pines High School and Canyon Crest Academy who
are enrolling in the math classes taught in collaboration with San Diego State
University.

General Information from SDSU
You are agreeing to the
policies below when you register for your class(es). Read this over. Relevant
details will be explained in class. See your teacher if you have questions.
Enrollment Verification
To request enrollment verification, mail or fax a written request with your
signature to the College of Extended Studies registration office at (619)
594-0147. Include your student ID number, year, and term of enrollment and
information on where to mail or fax the verification.
Refunds/ Withdrawals
You may withdraw from a course by completing an
official transaction form at the College of Extended Studies. Non-attendance or
notifying the instructor does not constitute officially dropping or
withdrawing from a course. Students who stop attending credit courses without
officially dropping will receive a grade of WU or No Credit in the class.
Refunds are not automatic. NO refunds are due unless the course is officially
dropped within stated guidelines in the refund schedule. Students can expect to
receive refunds approximately four weeks from the date the request is received.
Refunds may be applied against other amounts due the University.
Refund Schedule
a.
Withdrawal in person or postmarked at least one working day before the first day
of class - total fee minus $5 if class fee is less than $50 or $17 if class fee
is $50 or more.
(All credit course refunds are
subject to a $17 administrative charge plus ASB/student fees will be deducted
after the first class session.)
b.
Refund requests on or after the first day of class must be made in writing.
Unless otherwise stated, in courses of five or more meetings, 65% of the fee
will be refunded until 25% of the course time has elapsed, after which time
there is no refund. For courses of four or less class meetings, no refund.
Online course meetings are equal to one week of class time. Withdrawal or refund
made after the last day of class will be by petition only for serious and
compelling reasons.
Grades and Transcripts
SDSU WebPortal: https://sunspot.sdsu.edu/pls/webapp/web_menu.login
To access your grade, view your unofficial transcript, and/or order an official
transcript, log in to the SDSU WebPortal. Before ordering official transcripts,
view your unofficial transcripts to make sure all of your grades have been
posted. Information is available at
http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/registrar/transcripts.html. (SDSU
WebPortal is a different database than
the College of Extended Studies online registration system.)

Registration Form
Registration by mail may be paid by check or credit card.
Read all of the steps below
BEFORE beginning the process.
- Download and print out the registration form using
the following link:

- If you have an SDSU Red ID number, fill that in at
the top. If you do not have an SDSU Red ID number, leave that blank
and make sure to include your SSN and birthdate so a number can be created
for you. This number will be your student ID number for all business at
SDSU.
- Complete the personal information section of the
form. Leave the Company/Title information blank and "No" you are not a
current SDSU student.
- Complete the course information for each class you
are signing up for. See the details below for each class.
- Where it says "Must Be Completed" check "Other" and
write "Torrey Pines High School" or "Canyon Crest Academy." This is the only
place on the form where you explicitly indicate this is through our special
high school program.
- Sign the form. Don't forget to SIGN THE FORM. You,
the student, sign the form since you are the one taking the class.
Parents only sign the check (made payable to "SDSU") and/or credit card information.
- Check the box for how you are going to pay and attach the check at the bottom by stapling where it
says "Please staple check here" or complete the credit card
information.
- Mail the form to the address listed at the bottom
of the form. This needs to be
postmarked by the registration deadline.
- If you are registering for more than one course at
the same time you only need to turn in ONE form. If you are paying by check,
be sure that your check includes the total amount for all courses and is
made payable to "SDSU."

Online Registration
Students may create an SDSU Red ID and register online OR use their existing Red
ID to register online.
Online payments can be made by credit card or electronic check.
Read all of the steps below
BEFORE beginning the process.
- Go to
www.ces.sdsu.edu.
- Select "Courses & Programs" at the top.
- Click on "All Courses & Programs" in the
drop down menu.
- Click on "A - Z Listing" in the left tab.
- Click on "Math" in this list.
- Select the course you want to register for. Make sure
you choose the correct school. If you are registering for more than one
course, choose one now to start with.
- Type in the appropriate "Approval Code" as listed
below and click on "Click Here to Submit Code."
- Click "Enroll Now"
- If you are registering for another class at the same
time, click "Add Another Course," go back to "Math" in the A-Z Listing and
select the other course you want to register for. Submit the Approval Code
and Enroll.
- Continue and Continue again.
- If this is your first time registering online, you
will need to "Create a New Account." If you have registered online before,
you can "Login" with your SDSU Red ID and password. Note: This
is different than your SDSU WebPortal account information, however you can
make the passwords the same if you wish.
- IMPORTANT: If you already have an SDSU Red ID number,
do NOT generate a new one.
- When creating a new account, you are asked whether
you have a "Red ID." This is your SDSU Red ID (student ID) number. If you have one from a
prior semester, you can use it to create an account. If you do not have an SDSU ID number yet, click "No" and you will need to provide your Social
Security Number to create a Red ID. If you do not have a Social Security Number, you will need to go back and follow the
directions for mailing in a printed registration form (above).
- Follow the steps outlined and you will receive a
transaction confirmation online and by e-mail. An official receipt will be
sent by U.S. Mail.
- This process
needs to be completed BEFORE the registration deadline.
