As a team you will create a five paragraph essay arguing one of the following:

The Beast exists or not.

The boys have built a successful a society or not.

 

In your introduction, start with a hook and build to your thesis.

Each body paragraph make a single CLAIM as to why your thesis is true.  Each claim should be backed up by at least two QUOTES from the book as EVIDENCE.  Always EXPLAIN how your evidence proves your claim is true.

Conclude with how your true argument will shape the rest of the book.

Each team will turn in a single typed essay to be graded.  You will also present it as a debate as written.
