Discuss setting and how it effects the mood of the story.
Identify a setting description in the story that helps create a thrilling and tense mood. On a sheet of computer paper, write the quote along the top. In the center of the paper, draw a picture depicting that setting. At the bottom of the paper write a few sentences on how the setting creates the tense mood of the story.

Copy down stages of hero's journey to take notes during the film.
We know that Odysseus, a hero of the Trojan War, is called both to return his men home and act with more restraint and control.
Ricky Bobby, too, is a hero, but of racecar driving. After suffering through an accident, Ricky is called to be a bigger man as well.
We'll write an essay comparing/ contrasting the two hero's on Friday after we finish the film.
