  • How I Can Help

As your counselor, I want to talk with you about any concerns you have about anything. Your concerns may be school related or may be about emotional, social, family or any personal issues. We will work together to find methods to solve these issues or at least help you to deal with things we cannot solve.

As your counselor, I will also help you to plan your future by helping you choose appropriate high school classes and help you make decisions about your career and/or college choices.

My goal as your counselor is to help you make appropriate choices about your life and help you realize that you will make some mistakes. The important part of making mistakes is to take responsibility for those mistakes and then move on with your life in a positive manner. I also want to help you realize that neither you, nor I, can control some of what happens to you. Therefore we will work together to discover positive ways of handling those negative issues.

Appointments

I am always glad to see my students. I only ask that you follow these procedures so that I can best serve all of you:

  • Students may stop in on a drop-in basis before school (I am usually here by 7AM), during lunch or after school.

  • If we need  more than just a few minutes, please stop in at the above mentioned times to make an appointment with Ms. Rey, our counseling secretary.

Parents may call Ms. Rey  to make an appointment 760-753-1121 x 5076.  I almost always like to have the student join us for the appointment.

During scheduling times (beginning of each term) it is almost impossible for me to meet with parents about a schedule change. The best method of contact is to have the student follow the directions for schedule changes.
