This is a wonderful recipe for salmon

Ingredients:

  1. Fresh Salmon
  2. 2 - 3 Lemons
  3. 1 - 2 oz. Ginger root
  4. 1 - 2 oz. Soy sauce
  5. Pepper and Salt

Preparation

  1. About an hour in advance of dinner place the cleaned salmon in a shallow pan.
  2. Juice the lemons and pour over the salmon.
  3. Add about an oz. of soy sauce to the fish/juice.
  4. Grate a small amount of ginger root. (approx. 1/2 oz.)
  5. Cover the pan and put in a cool place.
  6. Prepare more grated ginger root. This will be added to the fish latter on in the cooking process

Cooking

  1. Before cooking add water to a depth of 1/2 the thickness of the salmon.
  2. Cook the salmon in a large skillet over a medium flame.
  3. Half way through the cooking process, 3 - 5 minutes, add some of the ginger, salt, and pepper and flip the salmon over.
  4. Place the remainder of the ginger, salt, and pepper to the exposed side of the salmon.

The salmon goes great if it is served in a bed of steamed asparagus and sliced steamed carrots.
