Welcome to AP Art History

The purpose of this course is to strengthen your understanding of Western and non-Western Art. The course will begin with an overview of prehistoric art and extend to twentieth century art.

We will examine major historical, economical, social and technological events to understand their impact on artistic expression. In this context, the student will learn to look at works of art critically, aesthetically and develop the ability to analyze what they see.
