pass is worth ten extra credit points. They are nontransferable.
Once used, you will not be permitted to leave the room. You must have your
pass to
leave the room. No replacements will be provided.
Tardy/Absence Policy
You are tardy if you are not in class before the bell rings.
If you have an unexcused tardy or unexcused absence, your homework
will not be accepted.
You have 48 hours to get your absence or tardy cleared. After that
it remains unexcused. Do not whine about it – it is District Policy.
Do not ask to go to the Attendance Office during class. I will not
accept clearing an absence or tardy at Attendance as an excuse for
being late to class.
If you have an excused absence, you must complete all home and class
work you have missed by the next class period.
* Three unexcused tardies – parent notification
* Subsequent tardies will result in a referral and Saturday School
* Oral presentations missed due to an absence will be substituted
with a 7-page typed paper.
Homework
You will receive a study guide for each chapter. It is your responsibility
to hand in your assignments at the beginning of the period (See
Tardy/Absent Policy).
Grading
Essays and presentations will be scored on a scale of 0-6.
Journals & In Class work will be graded on a 0-3 scale.

during
that grading period.
Cheating
Cheating will not be tolerated! Any work in violation of the SDUHSD
Academic Honesty Policy will, at minimum, result in a zero (“0”)
for the assignment and a one-day suspension from the class. This
includes, but is not limited to plagiarism, copying homework, and
receiving stolen
tests.
This course is an elective. If you are found in violation of the
Academic Honesty Policy, you may be withdrawn from the course with
an “F”.
