ADVANCED PLACEMENT EUROPEAN HISTORY
SUMMER ASSIGNMENT
 

Students enrolled in Advanced Placement European History are required to have completed the following assignments for the first class meeting in the fall: 

1.      Read Chapters 5-8 in the AP Western Civilization (Jackson J. Spielvogel) text - check out your copy in the TP Bookroom.  A comprehensive multiple-choice exam will be administered on these chapters on the second class meeting. This exam has a value of 200 grade points.  

2.       Detailed chapter notes/outline on each of the assigned chapters. The chapter notes must be hand written and include information about the important people, events, concepts, and chronology covered in the respective chapters. A fair estimation is about 6-8 pages of notes per chapter. Please note: Xerox copies or reproductions of notes will not be accepted for credit.  This assignment has a value of 200 grade points.  Due the day of the exam on Chapters 5-8.  The chapter notes may be used during the exam.

Book Pick-up:
Books will be available for check-out in the Torrey Pines Textbook Room during the last week of school.
Note: All of the current year's textbooks must be returned to the Textbook Room before we will issue new books.
